What the Studio handles
- Connected accounts: platform account or channel identifiers, display names, handles, granted permissions and connection status.
- Authorisation: access and refresh tokens issued by a platform so the Studio can carry out authorised operations. We do not request or store your Google password.
- Content you supply: artwork, video files, cover images, titles, descriptions, destination accounts and publishing settings.
- YouTube performance: aggregate channel and video reports, including views, engaged views, watch time, average viewing duration and percentage, likes, comments, shares and subscriber changes; current channel counters and video titles, thumbnails, publication dates and visibility. These reports do not identify individual viewers.
- Publishing records: upload progress, platform post or video identifiers, resulting links, timestamps and error information needed to operate and troubleshoot the integration.
Google and YouTube access
The Studio uses YouTube API Services. Its YouTube connection requests youtube.readonly to identify the authorised channel and check uploaded videos, youtube.upload to upload videos and their cover images, and yt-analytics.readonly to read aggregate channel and video performance reports. We use channel identity and video processing and visibility information to show the destination and publishing result in the Studio.
Google supplies authorisation tokens after the account owner grants permission. We store those tokens and the selected channel’s identity in private server storage so the owner does not need to sign in for every upload. The Studio does not request Gmail, Google Drive, contacts or calendar access through this YouTube connection.
How we use and share information
We use the information to connect the correct account, prepare and deliver authorised content, display publishing status and read-only channel performance, avoid duplicate submissions, and investigate errors. Authorised team members and system administrators may access it as needed to operate and support the Studio.
When you publish to a platform, we send that platform the selected media, text, settings and credentials required for the request. The platform then processes the content under its own terms and privacy policy. The chosen visibility controls who can see the resulting content. Connecting YouTube does not by itself send your YouTube account data to another social platform.
We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising targeting, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Content creation is separate from the YouTube account connection. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Hosting and network providers process requests needed to deliver the service and may handle operational security information. We may disclose information when legally required. Google’s own handling of information is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Storage and retention
Connection credentials and publishing records are held on infrastructure managed by Tech in the Box, outside the public website files. Access is restricted to authorised operators and administrators. Connections to Google use HTTPS. These safeguards do not make storage inaccessible to the administrators who maintain the system.
We retain connection credentials while the connection is needed, until disconnected or removed. Content and delivery records are kept separately to support our publishing workflow, troubleshooting and duplicate prevention. Disconnecting does not automatically erase those records or the original creative files. Data deletion is handled by our team on request, rather than by an automatic deletion button.
YouTube Analytics reports are requested live when the operator opens or refreshes the YouTube Stats section. The server does not save those reports or video thumbnails to disk or an analytics cache. Report data stays in the open browser view for up to 15 minutes and is cleared on refresh, channel change or leaving the Stats view. It is not saved in browser local or session storage. Refresh requests check the channel’s access again; failed authorisation clears the displayed report. A disconnect or revocation in another window may leave an already-open report visible until its next refresh or expiry.
Disconnect, revoke access or request deletion
- Disconnect in the Studio: open Settings → YouTube, select the connection and choose Disconnect. A successful disconnect revokes its Google grant and removes the locally stored token. Other connections using the same Google grant may also require reconnection.
- Revoke through Google: remove the application from your Google Account permissions. This stops further authorised API access, but is separate from deleting records already held by the Studio.
- Request deletion: email info@shirtsfrenzy.com with the channel name or ID and the records you want removed. Do not send passwords or tokens. We may verify that you control the account before acting on a request.
We handle requests to delete stored YouTube account data as soon as possible and within seven days. This is an operator-managed process. We remove the relevant credentials and account-linked records from active storage and address any retained copies as part of the request, subject to any legally required retention that we explain to you.
Disconnecting or deleting local records does not remove a video already uploaded to YouTube. Manage or delete that video in YouTube Studio. Original business-owned artwork and media are separate from Google-supplied account data; tell us if your request also concerns those files.
Website visits and device storage
These public information pages use the same appearance preferences and aggregate website statistics as the rest of Tech in the Box. See our website privacy notice for cookies, local storage, infrastructure processing and analytics choices. Opening this page does not connect a social account or subscribe you to marketing emails. The private Studio may use session and browser storage for access and interface preferences.
Changes and contact
We will update this notice when the integration changes and seek additional authorisation where needed for new account access or uses. Marketing Studio is a business tool for authorised operators, not a service directed to children.
For a question or complaint about these practices, contact info@shirtsfrenzy.com.
